“Are you the kind of person who has to do everything to completion?” a lover-of-a-friend recently asked (noted). This was in reference to my existing goals to 1.) watch all Oscar nominated movies and 2.) try every country’s cuisine available in NYC. This was a few weeks ago, but I’ve thought about the conversation nearly every day since.
He’s right. I keep thinking of instances where this is true. Most are totally normal. As you all know, I am NOTORIOUS for completing my New Year’s resolutions. I haven’t missed a reading goal in several years. Although sometimes it can get a little weird. For example, my senior year of high school I decided to give up pants for a year— quite the choice for a teenager living in Massachusetts.
Overall I do think this is one of my better qualities. I am decisive. I set realistic goals and I accomplish them. But the one thing I have found myself completely torn on as of late is when to stop nursing my son.
