Please forgive any typos or grammar mistakes, unless we are friends in which case text me so I can fix that shit before anyone else notices.
It’s not hard to be a well-dressed man. You find some pants that fit and toss a cable knit sweater over a button up shirt. As long as you don’t pair your outfit with New Balance dad sneakers, most women are going to be impressed. If you wear a scarf in the winter you’re practically a style icon. To achieve the same accolade as a woman, fashion must be a full-blown passion.
Men are not only assumed not to care about their appearance from birth, but actively discouraged from it. When I was growing up, any man who bothered to groom themselves would be mocked for being “metrosexual”— a derogatory term for straight men who enjoy interests traditionally associated with women or gay men. If you think this has changed then you obviously haven’t seen the baby boy section at Target.
Fortunately for you, there is hope. While pretty much no progress has been made in this department whatsoever, you have subscribed to this newsletter, so I have done the work for you.
If you want to dress your baby like a bear, you don’t have to look any further than Gap. I like shopping here for classic, everyday baby clothes. Sebastian owns (nearly) everything above, and though I swore up & down I wouldn’t have a beige baby, my cub looks good in neutrals. The shearing vest is a MUST by the way, he wears it every day.
You can shop the selection above (and my favorite Gap adult picks) here! These are my only affiliate links, btw. If you enjoy what I feature below, please consider becoming a paid subscriber ($1.25 per weekly newsletter— a steal!)
Maisonette has been my go-to for boujee children’s gifts for YEARS. Now that I have my own kid, I will likely only look here for photoshoot outfits and sale finds. But if you’re the rich aunt, look no further babe. We don’t own any of this stuff, but if someone wants to buy Sebby some holiday presents, he’ll probs be wearing 6mo clothes by January.
Maisonette: Dino coat, Ferrari Sweater, SKI sweater (bonus), Red quilted coat, Red coat for smaller babies, Corgi Sweater, plaid pajamas, green romper pajamas, snowsuit, bunny balaclava, yellow cardigan, peter pan collared shirt for layering, super expensive baby shoes
Both of Sebastian’s grandmothers LOVE buying him clothes from Swedish-American children’s apparel company Hanna Anderson. They make fun clothes for little boys that aren’t obscenely expensive, and for that reason we have nearly everything above. I will say their stuff does run slightly small, so if your babe is growing fast— size up!
Hanna Anderson: Plaid romper, Porcupine blue coat, holiday romp, shearling vest, zig zag sweater, Hanukkah pajamas, striped pajamas, lion sweater, waffle top, gnome hat
I will definitely be sharing more little boy’s outfits soon so make sure to subscribe :)
In solidarity of the SAG-AFTRA strike, I will not be reviewing movies until a fair contract is agreed upon. Instead I will be subjecting you all to my opinions on the various reality TV shows I watch. I also want to state that I believe Jilana has the Jeopardy Champions Wildcard Tournament in the bag.
Survivor 45: Some of you are probably seeing this and thinking to yourself “that’s still on?” Yes bitch and we’re on season 45. Survivor CONSISTENTLY dominates viewership on Wednesday nights for primetime TV. I urge you to watch a few seasons and catch up with the culture. As you can imagine, I am rooting for the remaining members of the (de)Lulu tribe. My top picks are Queen Bitch Emily who IMO has won over the heart of America with her cold demeanor, and Beautiful Perfect Kaleb who likely has no chance to win because he’s so charming. I also think Dee has a solid chance, but these two are my favorites.
The Golden Bachelor: Do I absolutely love this show? Yes. Do I trust Gerry to make the right choice and find a woman he can spend forever with? Absolutely not. I think he ends up with Leslie who I really do like, but don’t feel is his soulmate. That said, I think Sandra or the hot blonde who left early should be our next Golden Bachelorette. In the comments plz tell me who you think should be picked.
Big Brother 25: I have spent 7 of the last 9 summers watching this godforsaken show and honestly? No regrets. The last three seasons have been really watchable. The show has reached a point where it’s getting a bit boring. The likely winner of the season (Jag) has set himself up as the only competition threat left in the house, surrounded by people who are blindingly loyal to him or unable to defend themselves in a comp. If he wins he will be the first day 1 winner pick I’ve had since my first season watching, which will be a slay. Though naturally I am still rooting for Cirie Fields.
The Challenge USA 2: WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!!! I am absolutely thrilled with how the most recent season of The Challenge USA ended after an absolute letdown of a first season. I think it’s very clear at this point that Survivor players are the most dominant of all competitors and as a huge fan of the show I am here for it. I loved seeing Chris Underwood, the most controversial winner in Survivor’s history, show us that his BDE is the real deal. It was also SO fulfilling seeing Queen Desi get her bag after Enzo royally f*cked her over last season. I could not be happier.
The Woman in Me: I, like every person with a soul, have a lot of empathy for Britney Spears. While she clearly suffers from mental illness, after reading her book I truly believe she could be living a normal life if she had been given the tools she needed instead of being used and abused by every person in her life.
Since most of the traumatic aspects of her book will make headlines, I wanted to share a few takeaways I had that I don’t think you’ll get from TMZ.
She is clearly a kind person. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that Kevin Federline stole her children from her, which was likely the catalyst of her mental health crisis. Despite this, she has the class to not drag him to hell— just dig at him slightly for how badly he wanted to be a rapper.
She is more self aware than we think. Britney acknowledges her eyebrow raising social media presence, her lack of fashion sense, and that she can be “a bit weird.” She also demands the respect of the world, because she’s a human who deserves to be treated with dignity.
She is undoubtably an artist. Her stories about how she came up with the vision for the Baby One More Time music video and the collaboration with Madonna for Me Against The Music were just a few of the examples of the agency she once had in her career.
Would I recommend this book? Yes, but only if your goal is to understand Britney better as a human and not to accumulate as much tea as possible.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: I was one of the lucky ones who managed to secure tickets to Taylor Swift’s latest tour. I went with my family in Tampa Bay to the show immediately following her breakup announcement from Joe Alwyn. It was really fun, but we had an obstructed view and couldn’t see what was going on behind her. We paid over $400, by far the most I’ve spent on a concert. I had seen Taylor Swift three times previously (Fearless, Speak Now, 1989) and I think I preferred those tours as she played more deep-cuts as opposed to singles— which I think we all agree are not usually her best songs.
I paid $30(?) dollars to see her in concert again last weekend, but this time it was at my local AMC. Perhaps its because I’m a new mom, but the experience of sitting in a recliner chair at 6pm with popcorn, diet coke & smuggled in candy really hit the spot. Not only was my view significantly better, but I was home by 10pm. This might be my new preferred way to see a concert. I am officially counting down the days until the Beyoncé film!
See you next week + hopefully by then i’ll have read a few more books :)

That Corgi sweater!! I may or may not have a few items for our future baby stashed away + am *very tempted* to add this to the box. 💀
EMILY IS MY FAVORITE AND IF SHE DOESN'T WIN I WILL RIOT! I also love Kaleb, but there's no way he will win because everyone sees how smart he is. Emily has done so well adapting her gameplay and outward personality that I think she's got it.
